The OASYS imaging system is PC-based and utilizes four other components:- Scanner -- Captures the document image and enters it into the system.
- Optical Drive -- Writes the image to and reads it from the optical
disk.- Monitor -- Displays the document image on a high-resolution, 19-inch
screen.- Laser Printer -- Produces hard copy of the document when required.
With just one 5.25-inch optical disk, 18, images (8.5" x 11") areonline and available for display. Using the dual-page monitor, the screencan be split to display an image on one side and any PC application onthe other. For more sophisticated needs, the entry-level imaging systemcan be expanded to include FAX transmission, jukeboxes, and local areanetworks (LANs).
